In Corleone, three sisters decide to keep running the family farmhouse, a job that in Sicily is still a male only task. This decision makes them to be considered an easy target by the local mafia that uses animals to destroy their crop year after year. After years of abuse, out of desperation, they decide to go to the authorities in order to defend their property. A move that breaks the local rules.

Part of their family and the rest of their fellow villagers turn their back to them and ban them from the social life of the community. Only Salvatore a young idealistic man stands up for them and receives the same treatment. Abandoned by all his closest friends he loses his job and the only way to go around the village is in his own car.

But despite the harassments and threats, Salvatore and the Napoli sisters will not stop in their search for justice. But at what price?
